Promethean Boards in the Classroom!
This week I chose to do my blog post on the one and only, Promethean boards. I have seen them transform the educational classroom in such a positive way. Technology is becoming such an engaging way to boost academic success. The board in my classroom is compatible with a piece of software called Activinspire. Below I have linked a small video that includes a small summary of just a few things promethean boards can do with Activinspire!

In my classroom I see the Promethean board used at various times of the day. It is first used for morning meeting. When this takes place, there is one student per day that is assigned to help lead morning meeting, this way every student gets a chance and it is fair. First, we say the date and talk about any events or announcements for the day. We then do the weather chart and if there is time they do a fun money activity. Below are some pictures of how the board is used during morning meeting.
Although it is hard to see, the left picture is of calendar and the right picture is of the weather.

I liked that you included the YouTube link for more details about the Promethean boards. I tried them out during one of Dave's in class labs! It's neat to see it in action in your classroom. I think it's interesting to see a Promethean board instead of a Smart Board. I've only seen Smart Boards in the classroom! Do you have enough background on both the Smart Board and the Promethean to know which one you'd prefer to have in your classroom?
